Run4Fun – Be Happy, Be Bright, Be You!

Health and Wellbeing Educational Day to take place for young people.

Aimed at young people from 12- 18 Years, the event will take place from 10.30am to 1:00pm in Tallaght Stadium on Wednesday the 16th of May. The event has been organised to let young people know what services are available to them for all their Health and Wellbeing needs.

The event organised by South Dublin Comhairle na nÓg in partnership with Community Services Department, Foróige and Crosscare hopes to give young people in our County the opportunity to educate themselves on the importance of taking care of their own health and wellbeing along with those around them. A number of organisations will be present at the event with information surrounding their services, such as Jigsaw, Spunout, Yoda and many more.

Minister Zappone will be in attendance on the day along with Mayor Paul Gogarty. Olympic medallist Kenny Egan will also address the young people on the advantages and importance of minding theirhealth and wellbeing. A number of relaxation activities and demonstrations as well as Drum and Gaming Workshops have been organised for the Festival, to give young people an opportunity to experience a number of different ways to relax in a safe, fun environment.
