South Dublin County Council has called on members of the public to engage with the Clonburris SDZ planning process, by making submissions on the proposed material alterations to the Draft Planning Scheme.
Following the issuing of the Chief Executive’s Report on submissions received during the public consultation on the Draft Planning Scheme, a number of special Council meetings took place between Friday January 26th and Thursday February 1st 2018, which allowed elected members of South Dublin County Council, to table motions to make variations and modifications to the Draft Planning Scheme. At these meetings the elected members agreed to develop the Draft Planning Scheme for the Clonburris Strategic Development Zone, subject to variations and modifications.
Accordingly, a further and final period of public consultation will take place from Tuesday 20th March to Friday 20th April 2018 inclusive. This will be in advance of a final decision on the SDZ Planning Scheme by South Dublin County Council.
With regard to the next stage of the public consultation process for the SDZ Planning Scheme, Laura Leonard, A/Director of Land Use Planning & Transportation has stated, ‘In the coming weeks there will be another opportunity for the general public to make submissions on any proposed material alterations to the Draft Planning Scheme. To achieve the most robust Planning Scheme for the Clonburris Strategic Development Zone, I encourage the general public and all interested parties to engage in the final public consultation phase, in the preparation of the SDZ Planning Scheme. All relevant information, including how to make an online submission, is available at www.clonburris.ie ‘.
Written submissions or observations are invited from members of the public and other interested parties, in relation to the Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Planning Scheme, Environmental Assessment determination and Appropriate Assessment determinationof implementing the proposed amendments, and will be taken into consideration only. It is important to note that submissions not adhering to these criteria cannot be taken into account.
Submissions and observations should state the name, address, and where relevant details of any organisation, community group etc. represented and should be made not later than Friday 20th April 2018. All valid submissions and observations received during the stated time period will be taken into consideration before the Draft Planning Scheme is made.
