Christmas Craft Fair - County Library Tallaght
Mayor Guss O’ Connell will officially launch the Annual Christmas Craft Fair on Friday 25th of November at 10.30am at County Library Tallaght. The fair is a showcase for local craftspeople and designers and a great way of supporting Irish local business over the Christmas Period. A wide range of local crafts will be available ranging from knitted and patchwork items, to paper crafts and baked goods. The County Library has run this event for a number of years and it has aided in the forging of new links with the community as a whole and with the arts and business communities especially. The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by choral music on Friday the 25th at 11.00am and by a visit from Santa Claus on Saturday 26th at 2.00pm. Children will also be able to post their letters to Santa in our special North Pole post box.
The fair is for the local community, supported by the community. There is no charge to the stall holders to participate, for many of them it is their only exposure all year and we also have a number of community/support groups participating. It is a nice start to the Christmas season.
The fair takes place on Friday and Saturday from 10.00-4.30pm. Santa will visit on Saturday.
