The LittleWoods Ireland 2016 Blog Awards final took place in Dunlaoghaire on Thursday 16th September. Established to celebrate the best in Irish Blogging, the event took place in Duffys Circus – with entertainment provided by circus acts

As the winners were read out the anticipation was palpable!

We're delighted here in Ballyroan Library today - two of our staff blogs were nominated in the Littlewoods Ireland 2016 Blog Awards in the Best Arts & Culture (Corporate) category and both WON!

BALLYROAN READS, founded and led by Mark Ward, is a staff book review blog to whom eight staff contribute. As well as two book reviews a week, it also has features such as Brilliant Book Titles, 5 New Books To Watch Out For, and Most Requested.

YAPS!, created and run solely by Eleanor NiCheallaigh, is a library blog aimed at Young Adults, It features book reviews, new releases, cover reveals and more! Anyway, onto the results:BALLYROAN READS was awarded the BRONZE AWARD for Best Arts & Culture Blog of the Year and YAPS was the OVERALL WINNER of BEST ARTS & CULTURE BLOG OF THE YEAR!
