Operation Transformation 2016 - Information evening for all sports clubs, schools, community centres and groups

RTE’s Operation Transformation will hit the TV screens again at the start of January and groups around the country will be looking to promote community fitness and wellbeing.

To help plan for the event in January there is an information evening on Wednesday November 18th at 8pm in Round Towers GAA club, Convent Road, Clondalkin, supported by South Dublin County Sports Partnership (SDCSP) and South Dublin County Council. At the meeting;

  • Representatives from the club will outline the very successful community walk programme they put in place in January 2015 with the support of South Dublin County Council and the Sports Partnership
  • A walk tutor will discuss the free walk leader training being provided to volunteers in clubs and groups for Operation Transformation 2016 by the Sports Partnership
  • SDCSP will outline other supports being put in place including free equipment, PR materials and nutrition talks
