Public Consultation Procedure Under Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 - 2013

Proposed Access Road – Grange Castle Business Park

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed construction by South Dublin County Council of the above scheme which will provide for a new access road within the Grange Castle Business Park

The proposed works will comprise of the following:

  • Provision for a new 6m wide bituminous access road including turning area.
  • Provision for a new 2m wide raised cycle track and 2m wide footpath.
  • Provision for new kerbing and two uncontrolled crossing points with tactile paving incorporated.
  • A public lighting system designed to minimise impact on bats and other nocturnal wildlife
  • New signs and road markings.
  • Provision for a new storm water drainage system.
  • Relocation of existing services where required and provision of other services and utilities where necessary
  • Associated landscaping, boundary and planting works

This proposed access road will facilitate the future development of Grange Castle lands located to the south of the proposed scheme.

The Grand Canal is a Proposed Natural Heritage Area and the display drawings are accompanied by (i) Appropriate Assessment Screening Report and (ii) Environmental Screening Report which provide supporting environmental information on the proposed scheme.

Plans & particulars of the proposed development are available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy thereof from Friday 8th May, 2015 to Friday 19th June, 2015 at:

South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24, between the hours of 09:30am – 12:45pm and 2:00pm – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 09:00am – 4:00pm Friday.   and

South Dublin County Council, Civic Offices, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, between the hours of 09:30am – 12:45pm and 2:00pm – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 09:00am – 4:00pm Friday.

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development is situated, may be made in writing to Senior Executive Officer, Economic, Enterprise & Tourism Development, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24, Co Dublin to arrive no later than 4.00pm Friday 3rd July, 2015. or e-mail to info@grangecastle.ie
