Engineers Week is a nationwide event coordinated by Engineers Ireland as part of their STEPS to Engineering Programme - see www.engineersweek.ie. This year’s theme is entitled ‘Engineering is for Everyone’. The aim of the week is to positively promote engineering as a career and to create an awareness of the wonderful, life-enhancing and exciting challenges that engineers are involved in and responsible for.
This is our seventh year hosting this event and our partners IT Tallaght and local engineering businesses Vilicom, PM Group and Xilinx are joining with us again to provide even more interesting and fun events for a our local children and teenagers throughout the week. Activities and workshops for both primary and secondary cycle students from the County are being attended by 2,000 participants from local schools throughout the week.
