South Dublin County Council hosts annual Easter Family Treasure Hunts

South Dublin County Council once again presented this year’s annual Easter Treasure Hunts in Griffeen Valley, Corkagh and Tymon Parks. Admission was free and children and parents from all over the County came out in force to join in the fun and games organised by the Council’s Sports Officers.

Mayor Caitriona Jones and her family were among the many who joined in the hunt following the clues along the trail. Participants also got the opportunity to create their very own Easter Egg before they faced the challenge of the Big Easter Egg Drop. Mayor Caitriona Jones said “This event has become a very popular spring tradition over the last couple of years and is a great way to kick off the Easter Holidays. Community events like this provide a great opportunity for local families to come out over the holidays and visit some of the fantastic parks we have here in South Dublin County”

Participation in this family-friendly event was free and in the current economic climate South Dublin County Council aims to make a positive impact in our communities by providing no-cost, family-friendly events for our Citizens
