Temporary Closure of

Belgard Road/Embankment Road junction

 

As part of the Embankment Road Extension Scheme, it is required to carry out essential works at the junction of Belgard Road/Embankment Road; therefore South Dublin County Council proposes to temporarily close a section of Belgard Road/Embankment Road from Tuesday 1st November to Tuesday 8th November 2011, inclusive.

 

Alternative route

(1)  N81 to Newlands Cross N7 – Belgard Road R113 Northbound, Cookstown Industrial Estate/Belgard Link Road, Old Belgard Road Northbound, Cookstown Road, Belgard Road R113 Northbound to Newlands Cross.

(2) Newlands Cross. N7 to N81 – Belgard Road R113 Southbound, Cookstown Road, Old Belgard Road Southbound, Cookstown Industrial Estate/Belgard Link Road, Belgard Road R113 Southbound to N81

(3) Embankment Road to Newlands Cross N7 – Embankment Road R838, Belgard Road R113 Southbound, U-turn at Belgard Way Roundabout, Belgard Road R113 Northbound, Old Belgard Road Northbound, Cookstown Road, Belgard Road R113 Northbound to Newlands Cross.

 

Diversion signs will be erected.

 

Local access will be maintained at all times

 

Any person interested may lodge an objection with the Senior Executive Officer, Roads Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 not later than 5.00 p.m. on Wednesday 19th October 2011.
