The Mayor, Cllr Caitriona Jones launched the South Dublin County Council Water Conservation Video -  â€˜Water Drop’ in the County Library, Tallaght on Wednesday 6th July.

“Water is our most precious commodity and we must value it. Storage of raw water i.e. untreated water is at a very low level. It is important that we all do our bit to save 10% of our daily water usage – it’s easily done” said Mayor Caitriona Jones. “Don’t leave the tap running, collect rain water to water plants, have a quick shower,  fix leaking taps and stop running water”

Mayor Jones continued by saying “This water drop video is on youtube and I would like to ask everyone to help us spread the message that water is precious and needs to be saved by sending the link to the video onto family and friends.”

The Water Drop video has an important message –stop running water and we won’t end up in trouble. By making small changes to some of our daily activities we can significantly reduce the volume of water we waste. This video is part of the water conservation message for all residents and businesses of South Dublin County.
