We are delighted to announce that Mayor Marie Corr along with two of South Dublin County‘s finest Gaelic Footballers and Hurlers, Conor McCormack and Darragh Nelson will make presentations to the winning entries in the South Dublin Comhairle na nÓg Think Local Poster Design Competition.
South Dublin Comhairle na nÓg, Think Local Poster Design Competition Prize Giving Ceremony will take place on Friday 13th May at 10am in South Dublin County Council Chamber. This Competition was organised by members of South Dublin Comhairle na nÓg in partnership with South Dublin County Development Board. Young people were invited to design a poster demonstrating their understanding of the Think Local Campaign. Think Local is an initiative of the South Dublin County Development Board which helps create and develop community awareness of the advantages and benefits of supporting local businesses and community facilities. Over 200 entries were received.
South Dublin Comhairle na nÓg is a Countywide Youth Council, which gives children and young people the opportunity to be involved in the development of local services and policies. It provides the youth of South Dublin County with an opportunity to identify and discuss matters which affect their daily lives, and is a place for young people to pass on their views and concerns to decision-makers at both local and national government.
South Dublin County Council would like to congratulate the winners of this competition and thank all those who got involved.
