Dr. Tony Bates (Well known psychologist and founder director of Headstrong and National Centre for Youth Mental Health) and Packie Bonner, Technical Director FAI to address Unemployment Seminar at Tallaght Stadium, Whitestown Way, Tallaght, Tuesday 9th November at 9.30am -1.00pm
As a response to rising levels of unemployment in the country; South Dublin County Council in partnership with Dodder Valley Partnership, South Dublin Childcare Committee, FAS, Cheeverstown, HSE, CPLN Partnership, Disability Federation of Ireland and South Dublin County Development Board are hosting a special event in the new football stadium in Tallaght targeting people who find themselves unemployed during the present downturn.
The event, called ‘Pathways through Unemployment’, aims to engage people in an active discussion about their needs, struggles and ambitions during times of unemployment.
Areas covered will include among others: up-skilling, re-training, social networking and enterprise creation, together with ideas and suggestions on how to maintain emotional and physical well-being while you are out of work.
As well as the talks and discussions there will be a large number of stands present with information on a range subjects including, enterprise creation, education and training opportunities, social networking and other supports.
This event is free and open to all. Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided.
