South Dublin County celebrates Intercultural Week

Monday March 22nd marks the beginning of Intercultural Week in both Archbishop Ryan J.N.S and Archbishop Ryan S.N.S. This is the sixth year that intercultural week has been celebrated in both these Lucan based schools and the total number of different nationalities in both schools forty seven from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. The main events of the week are the Flag Ceremony, the Food Fair, a traditional Irish musical group, a Slovak orchestral ensemble, ballroom dancing, drumming workshops, a World Cup soccer competition and a Dress Up in National Costume Day.

Funding for this event has been provided by Mr John Curran T.D Minister for Integration via the Social Inclusion Unit, South Dublin County Council. The school welcomes this recognition of its work by both Minister Curran and by South Dublin County Council.
