This is not the first acknowledgement of Tallaght Young Filmmakers? film, ?Tale of Genji?. ?Tale of Genji? gained Special Mention at NOISE Flicks Youth Film Festival in 2009 and won best group award in the Co-Motion Film Festival in 2009. It is a sinister film of love and deception based on an ancient Japanese story of the same name. Told in Japanese with English subtitles, the film was shot on location in Tallaght Library. The film was directed by Tallaght Young Filmmaker, Chris Greene, with other members acting, covering sound, lighting, camera, and continuity. Mentors include filmmaker Olivia Fitzsimons and filmmaker Eric O?Shaughnessy as well as DCTV editor John Breslin. Filmmaker Brian Durnin also assisted with the making of the film. Tallaght Young Filmmakers formed in 2008 through support of South Dublin County Council?s Arts Office and the Arts Council.

?Need for Speed? and ?Butterfly? were created through ?CLICK CLICK?, an integrated project undertaken by young people from the Irish Wheelchair Association and the, Tallaghtfornia Foroige Club (supported by Tallaght Youth Service), in collaboration with artist Aileen Lambert. Meeting regularly on Saturdays in St. Kevin?s Family Resource Centre, Kilnamanagh from October 2009 ? January 2010, the twelve participants developed skills in video, camera and stop animation. The resulting work is featured on the website www.click-click.ie. Their programme was funded and supported by the Arts Council?s Artist in the Community Scheme managed by CREATE, and by the Department of Social and Family Affairs, South Dublin County Council?s Arts Office, St. Kevin?s Family Resource Centre, the Irish Wheelchair Association, and Tallaght Youth Service.

?Sending Yantha Back? by St. Aidan?s Film Club tells the story of a young girl and her family who face deportation from Ireland. This project was created with support by Creative Engagements. For more information contact St. Aidan?s School at 01-4524677.
