Something for everyone during Innovation Week – 14th to 20th October 2009
Innovation Week – 14th to 20th October is an opportunity to see and participate in some of the pioneering activities in South Dublin County. The aim of the week is to promote, encourage and stimulate innovation and creativity in business, education, medical, research and the public sector.
What can you do during the week?
Visit the library and borrow a human book, learn about the innovative use of Open Source softwear and hear about Simply Brilliant Ideas.
Unemployed? Visit the Intellectual Enterprise Zone to check out networking and support in new business start ups.
Take part in a digital treasure hunt using mobile phones and visit the parks to discover interactive play, the production of fuel from oil seed rape and visit an outdoor classroom.
Visit the Institute of Technology, Tallaght to see innovative applications of technologies and find out how the Synergy Centre supports Enterprise and Innovation.
Check online events at www.southdublininnovates.ie - Connect me – discover all you need to know about an address in South Dublin County – the nearest shop, school, when the refuse is collected and planning information on the site. There are videos and podcasts to inform and stimulate.
There is something here for everyone.
