South Dublin County Council’s Tallaght Stadium will be the focus of the footballing world next Monday the 20th of July at 8pm as Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to make his Real Madrid debut in Tallaght Stadium. The Portuguese star completed a €92 million transfer from Manchester United in time to line out for a friendly against Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium next week.

Ronaldo will be accompanying his new team-mates – including Spanish internationals Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Dutch stars Arjen Robben and Ruud van Nistelrooy – on a ten-day pre-season training camp at Carton House in Maynooth, organised by sports management company Platinum One.

South Dublin County Council have been working hard with event organisers ‘Platinum One’ to ensure the evening is a complete success and are confident that ticket holders will have a great sporting experience, placing Tallaght Stadium on the international football stage.

With the participation of one of the World’s biggest Clubs security will be stepped up on the night. A ring fence will be erected around the ground and ticket holders only will get through this area. Stadium access will be divided into four sections and patrons will have access to their designated ticket area only. It is recommended that all ‘match goers’ avail of public transport, parking will be available in the Square Car Park and use of the Red Cow- ‘Park and Ride’ facility is highly recommended. Please note the Stadium Car Park will be restricted to Platinum One permit holders only, Shamrock Rovers permits will not be valid on the night.

If you have any questions or require more information about the match please do not hesitate to contact Shamrock Rovers directly at 01 4605948. Listed below are directions to the Stadium and the different public transport vehicles.
