Draft Naas Road Area Development Framework

In accordance with Local Zoning Objective (LZO 5) of the South Dublin County Development Plan 2004-2010, South Dublin County Council has prepared a Draft Framework for the future development of lands adjoining the Naas Road/N7 between Newlands Cross and the boundary with Dublin City Council west of the Kylemore Luas stop.

LZO 5 of the South Dublin County Development Plan requires the preparation of a Masterplan to facilitate appropriate high-quality mixed-use development (including offices and residential development) for the purpose of upgrading this major gateway corridor into the city.

To give effect to LZO5, it is intended that the Draft Naas Road Area Development Framework will inform a proposed variation of the South Dublin County Development Plan 2004-10, to be formulated further to public consultation on the draft Framework. Any proposed variation of the County Development Plan will be subject to a separate consultation procedure in Autumn 2009.

Accordingly, submissions and observations in respect of the Draft Naas Road Area Development Framework are invited from any interested party. All submissions should be received by 4.00 pm on Tuesday 1st September 2009 and should be made in writing to:

Tony Shanahan, Administrative Officer, Planning Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24

Or By email to: n7plan@sdublincoco.ie

Only submissions to the above postal or email addresses will be considered
