                                                      Temporary Closure of roads in the South Dublin Area 

                                                       World Meeting of Families 2018 Phoenix Park Event 

An application has been received from the Office of Public Works for permission to temporarily close the following roads in the South Dublin Area from 6.00am to 11.00pm on Sunday 26th August 2018. These will be intermittent Garda controlled road closures and restricted parking, as necessary, to facilitate safe passage of people and public transport, to and from the Phoenix Park within the area bounded by and including:- 

  • JFK Drive from junction with JFK Avenue to Camac Park.

 

  • JFK Road from junction with Bluebell Avenue to Killeen Road.

 

  • JFK Avenue from junction with JFK Road to Old Naas Road.

 

  • Bluebell Avenue from junction with JFK Road to County Boundary.

 

  • Grand Canal to New Nangor Road.

 

  • Lower Lucan Road from junction with Knockmaroon Hill to Lucan Bridge via Strawberry Beds. 

 

Local access will be maintained.

Detour signs will be erected.

 

Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the Acting Senior Executive Officer, Land Use, Planning and Transportation, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 or by email to seoroads@sdublincoco.ie not later than 5.00 p.m. on Friday 10th August 2018.
