Red Cow Inn, Clondalkin

On Thursday 31 May at 4.00 pm in the Red Cow Inn, Clondalkin Mayor of South Dublin County Council Cllr Paul Gogarty will close the Bealtaine Festival, the festival celebrating Creativity in Older Age. Bealtaine is co-ordinated by Age and Opportunity, the national organisation working to promote greater participation by older people in society. The name "Bealtaine" comes from the ancient Celtic festival of that name celebrating springtime, freshness and renewal. There was over 150 events organised for the month and for the majority of the events we had full participation.

The Bealtaine Competition was entitled “Use your imagination to submit an entry to show how creative you are”. This was organised by the Social Inclusion Unit and it allowed residents of the County to utilise their skills and talents. This was a huge success with entries from all over the county. The awards will be presented at the closing Ceremony.
