South Dublin County Council would like to thank everyone in the Adamstown, Lucan and Palmerstown areas who submitted an idea for the €300k – Have Your Say Initiative. We received 160 suggestions during the consultation process. A shortlist of 17 ideas are now up for the public vote.
Voters will be able to choose their favourite ideas up to the value of €300,000 from the following list:

The voting process for the shortlisted projects will take place from the 22nd to the 26th of May 2017 and local residents will be able to vote online at http://sdcc.ie/haveyoursay.
Alternatively, voting can be done in person from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm on Thursday 25th of May at the following locations in the Lucan Electoral Area:

Adamstown – St. John the Evangelist NS, Adamstown, Lucan, Co. Dublin

Lucan – Lucan Leisure Centre, Griffeen Valley Park, Lucan, Co. Dublin

Palmerstown – Palmerstown Youth and Community Centre, Palmerstown Shopping Centre, Kennelsfort Road Upper, Dublin 20
Mayor Guss O’Connell strongly encourages you to participate and exercise your vote for the benefit of your community, he added “You the residents of Palmerstown, Lucan and Adamstown have an opportunity open to no other community on the island of Ireland: to decide by popular vote how €300K is spent in improving your area. The items you are asked to choose between have been proposed by the people of this area and all are equally worthy of consideration. For the first time in Ireland the public are offered the opportunity to participate in determining the budget of a local authority. Whatever gets the majority votes will be acted on by the Council”
There is no age restriction on voting and you do not have to be on the Register of Electors to vote. So make sure you take the opportunity to have your say!
