Willsbrook Road Cycle Scheme Phase 3B: Commencement of Construction:

 

South Dublin County Council intends to begin construction works for the Willsbrook Road Cycle Scheme Phase 3B on 20th February 2017 and the works are expected to be completed in 12 weeks. Willsbrook road Cycle Scheme Phase 3B involve the upgrading of pedestrian and cycle facilities through Willsbrook Park. This scheme forms part of the Lucan Access and its primary objective is to enhance connectivity for cyclist and pedestrians between North and South Lucan across the N4.

 

The scheme will consist of the following:

  • Upgrading of the pedestrian/cycle facilities through Willsbrook Park
  • New public lighting and upgrade of existing public lighing for the newly improved cycle and pedestrian facility through the Park
  • Upgrade works to the railings on the existing footbridge from Willsbrook Park across the N4
  • Upgrade of entrances to the park to allow easy and safe access to the Willsbrook Park cycle and pedestrian facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.

The scheme is funded by the National Transport Authority (NTA)
