Local Enterprise Office South Dublin Supports Job Creation for more Start-Up and Expanding Businesses with Latest Grant Approvals

The Local Enterprise Office (LEO) South Dublin approved €46,494 in grant funding for three local businesses, creating two new jobs, as well as sustaining two existing jobs at its most recent Evaluation & Approvals Committee meeting on 6th December 2016

Colm Ward. Head of Enterprise in South Dublin County Council explains:

“The 3 projects approved for funding this month include a Feasibility Study as well as a Priming Grant to help a new start up business and a Business Expansion Grant to assist an existing business looking to expand. These grant approvals for local businesses have the potential to help create up to eleven jobs in Tallaght & Rathfarnham within three years.

The sectors are represented are food manufacturing and innovative childcare products with export potential a key feature of the projects. These small enterprises are currently each employing less than ten staff but have ambitious plans to continue their growth trajectory and LEO South Dublin will help them on their way.

The latest approvals mean that LEO South Dublin has now approved funding of €583,250 for 35 projects in 2016 creating 42 new jobs immediately and with the potential to create a total of 167 new jobs.”
