Congratulations to the winner of the Tourism Survey iPad Air
Growing South Dublin as a tourism destination
South Dublin County Council are delighted to announce that Mr. Paul O’Callaghan from Tallaght has been selected as the winner of an iPad Air for completing the Council’s recent tourism survey. Paul’s e-mail address was selected at random from over 112 completed entries and was presented with his prize at County Hall by Mayor Guss O’Connell.
The County Promotion Unit would like to thank everyone who took time to complete the tourism survey.
Presenting Paul with his iPad, Mayor Guss O’Connell said “Realising our potential as an attractive and strong player in the overall Dublin visitor offering depends entirely upon excellent communication and vision for the County. Therefore I am delighted that this consultation process attracted so many responses. I look forward to seeing everyone in the County playing their part in highlighting the wealth of things to do and see in South Dublin County, as the economic spin off from tourism benefits us all”.
The tourism survey was part of an initial consultation process with the local tourism sector and community as a means of shaping and selling the image of our County as its best assets and formed part of the recently commissioned County Tourism Marketing and Branding Strategy and Action Plan. The plan, which is under development, will identify and promote the unique selling points and exciting experiences of South Dublin County from a tourism perspective with the aim of increasing tourist numbers to the area and boosting employment in the tourism related sector.
