South Dublin County Council intends to review and update the current County Heritage Plan 2010-2015.
In tandem with this review, SDCC is also in the process of preparing the County’s first Biodiversity Action Plan.
To advance these two strategic plans, a joint consultation process is to commence on Monday 18th April 2016. The result of this joint process will be two separate plans, an updated County Heritage Plan 2016-2022 and the County’s first County Biodiversity Plan 2016-20122.
The joint consultation process is inviting written submissions on matters of biodiversity, archaeological, architectural, and cultural heritage.
The consultation process will close on Friday 13th May 2016.
Submissions on this process can be made in any of the following ways:
- through SDCC’s on-line Public Consultation Portal at http://consult.sdublincoco.ie
- by email to heritage@sdublincoco.ie
- or by post to: The Heritage Officer, Land Use Planning and Transportation Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24
Information brochures on the process and a copy of the current County Heritage Plan can be accessed through the Council’s website at http://consult.sdublincoco.ie
