South Dublin County Sports Partnership - Sports Inclusion Disability Programme

South Dublin County Sports Partnership is delighted to announce the launch of its Sports Inclusion Disability Programme and the appointment of Áine Coogan as Sports Inclusion Disability Officer (SIDO) to oversee the management of the programme. The programme is financially supported by South Dublin County Council and Sport Ireland.

The overall aim of the programme is to increase the participation of people with disabilities in sport and recreational physical activity. This will be achieved through working in partnership with statutory agencies, sports clubs, community groups, facility providers, schools, disability service providers and people with disabilities. Key elements of the programme include sustainable physical recreation, information provision, training and education.

South Dublin County Sports Partnership is delighted to have Áine on board to help address the needs of a very important audience and encourages any group or individual looking for additional information regarding sport and physical activity for people with disabilities to contact Aine on 01-41492000 Ext: 4220 or email  acoogan@sdublincoco.ie
