Bealtine Festival Tea Dance at Palmerstown

Palmerstown Fun Day 55+ Committee organised a local two day Bealtaine Festival which took place in a various venues around the Palmerstown area on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th May 2015.
A Tea Dance was held in the Palmerstown Community and Youth Centre on Wednesday at 7pm, and was officiated by Mr. Robert Dowds T.D.
As part of the County’s Bealtaine Festival celebrations, South Dublin County Council contributed €2,000 towards the two days. With the additional contributions from local businesses and community organisations all activities and events were provided FREE. The Bealtaine Festival is the promotion and celebration of older people which takes place annually during the month of May.
The Palmerstown FunDay 55+ committee is representative of local community groups / organisations and local businesses. Events included: Dancing, Walks, Demonstration of Waterstown Park Fitness Equipment, 10 pin Bowling, Snooker, Health Talk, Tour of Glasnevin Cemetery, Film Show, Photographic presentation, and festivities concluded with the Tea Dance on Wednesday 13th.
