ESB propose to commence works along the Grand Canal Way-Green Route from Davitt Road to 12th Lock, Lucan –Newcastle Road from 10th November, 2014 to 28th February, 2015. This will necessitate the temporary closure of parts of the Route for a period of time to facilitate the works.
ESB have been requested that notices be placed at all access points along the Route detailing the period of closure and indicating alternative routes available. These notices should be in place 4-5 days in advance of the proposed closure.
Further works will be required at a later date up to approximately 30th April, 2015 to fully complete the project which may require an element of closure. If closures are required appropriate notices will be put in place.
Notice of the temporary closure will be put up on the Council’s website in the coming days.
