Ramble Aid– 5k for a fiver to keep our community active and alive

                                               

This September sees a new series of3 x 5km charity events in the regional parks in South Dublin County. Under the title Ramble Aid, the events will incorporate people who want to run/walk/cycle/ wheel a buggy or use a wheelchair. The first 5km event will take place in Griffeen Valley Park in Lucan on Sunday, September 9th at 11am and will kick off the week long Lucan Festival.

The next one will take place in Tymon Park on Sunday September 16th and the last one is in Corkagh Park on Sunday September 23rd  , again at 11am. In order to make participation as large and inclusive as possible there is an entry fee of only €5 per person, per event. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of defibrillators for local sports clubs in the county.

 

People can register online at www.rambleaid.ie

Alternatively people can also complete an application form and pay through the following channels

-          the Civic offices in Tallaght & Clondalkin  

-          one of the network of libraries countywide

-          local Credit Unions – Templeogue, Kilnamanagh, Firhouse, Tallaght District, Knocklyon, Lucan

-          the public leisure centres in Lucan, Tallaght & Clondalkin
