The Social Credit’s Scheme is a strand of the Council’s programme of activities to promote social capital throughout the county.  It rewards Community groups, Youth groups, Resident associations and Schools who improve their environment by undertaking environmental and community based actions that improves their area and brings members of the community together. The scheme aspires to motivate, assist and reward groups, who may not be involved in the enhancement of their local area, to get involved and to take ownership of their County.

A new website is now live at www.socialcredits.ie where information, application forms and contact details are listed for the public to view. Photos, videos and ideas from previous applicants will be uploaded and displayed to demonstrate to new applicants the possibilities under the Social Credit’s Scheme.

The Social Credit’s Scheme is part of a wider Carbon and Social Credit Scheme (2CS) in partnership with the Dublin Regional Authority.
