The Social Credit’s Scheme is a strand of the Council’s programme of activities to promote social capital throughout the county.  It rewards Community groups, Youth groups, Resident Associations and Schools that enhance their environment by undertaking environmental and community based actions that improve their area and brings members of the community together. The scheme aspires to motivate, assist and reward groups, who may not be involved in the enhancement of their local area, to get involved and to take ownership of their County.

A new website is now live at www.socialcredits.ie where information, application forms and contact details are provided. In addition photos, videos and ideas from previous successful applications will be uploaded on to the website displaying a sample of potential actions and rewards under the Social Credit’s Scheme
