The Irish Tenpin Bowling Association presents the Junior Triple Crown 2011 in The Leisureplex Tallaght Village on 25th -28th August.
Mayor Caitríona Jones South Dublin County Council will officially open the ceremony on Friday 26th at 9 am accompanied by Mr Frank Byrnes Chairperson of the ITBA and junior bowlers Mark Dunne and Lauren Collins.
The weekend’s event will culminate with an Awards Banquet on Sunday 28th August when the Plaza Hotel Tallaght plays host to the competitors and winners.
Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales will be taking part in the event, Boys and Girls teams, Under 19 and Under 16 making up the different divisions. The event consists of the bowlers playing Singles, Doubles Trios and Teams of 5 and also Mixed Doubles in both divisions.
A total of 84 Junior bowlers will be representing their countries. The bowlers representing Ireland are from local clubs in Stillorgan, Tallaght, Palmerstown and ALSAA.
Ireland hosts this event every 4 years and is widely known as the most enjoyable event on the calendar. Officials, parents and supporters will be arriving throughout the weekend and staying in the local hotels in Tallaght.
