Launch of South Dublin County Heritage Plan

On Thursday 2nd June, Mayor Marie Corr will officially launch the South Dublin County Heritage Plan in Rua Red Arts Centre, Tallaght.

The South Dublin County Heritage Plan is an agreed action plan of South Dublin County Council. It offers a framework for the protection and conservation of the County’s rich and varied heritage resource and offers a partnership process within which communities and individuals can engage with Council to assist in the delivery of the Plan’s objectives.

The 79 actions that comprise the core of the Plan are a product of a detailed process of public consultation and engagement with a wide range of heritage experts, community groups, and individuals. Following this consultation process, the Plan was prepared by the South Dublin County Heritage Forum in conjunction with the County Heritage Officer, Rosaleen Dwyer. The Plan will operate over a five year period and implementation of its actions is supported by SDCC and the Heritage Council.

For further information, contact the SDCC Heritage Officer Rosaleen Dwyer at 01-4149222 or rdwyer@sdublincoco.ie
