St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at Tallaght Stadium

South Dublin County Council is delighted that a St Patrick’s Day Celebration will take place on March 17th in Tallaght Stadium.
From 4.00pm to 5.30 pm there will be performances from two local electric bands Carma D and Triple Drop and local singer/songwriter Sharon Byrne on stage in the car park of Tallaght Stadium. Gates to the main pitch area will open at 5.00 pm where at 5.30 pm Tallaght Festival Band, Tallaght Youth Band, Phoenix Marching Band, Dizzy Feet Dance Co. will perform on the pitch with an assortment of local groups. The World and European Champion St Laurence O’Toole Pipe Band will then give a performance followed by a spectacular firework display.
The MC for the event is the well known television presenter Brian Ormond. As part of his very impressive media career Brian presented the St Patrick’s Day Festival highlight show for RTE 1 in 2010 so we are very honoured to have him with us in Tallaght to showcase our event.
The venue for the event, Tallaght Stadium, has quickly become a household name in Irish sport. The multipurpose boutique 6,500 seat facility saw €94 million record signing Cristiano Ronaldo make his debut for Real Madrid in July 2009. Tallaght Stadium recently hosted the FAI Cup Final, an Irish rugby international, American Football and International Archery. For more information click on www.tallaghtstadium.ie
All are welcome, admission is free of charge. Parking will only be available for people with valid disabled parking stickers.
