South Dublin County Council is delighted to confirm that a St Patrick’s Day Celebration will take place on March 17th in Tallaght Stadium.
The event will kick off in the afternoon at 4.00pm with performances from local talent including the Tallaght Festival Band, the Tallaght Youth Band, the Phoenix Marching Band, sports stars, Dizzy Feet Dance Co. and the World & European Champion St Laurence O’Toole Pipe Band, followed by a spectacular firework display.
The MC for the event is the well known television presenter Brian Ormond. As part of his very impressive media career Brian presented the St Patrick’s Day Festival highlight show for RTE 1 in 2010 so we are very honoured to have him with us in Tallaght to showcase our event.
The venue for the event, Tallaght Stadium, has quickly become a household name in Irish sport. The multipurpose boutique 6,500 seat facility saw €94 million record signing Cristiano Ronaldo make his debut for Real Madrid in July 2009. Tallaght Stadium recently hosted the FAI Cup Final, an Irish rugby international, American Football and International Archery. For more information log onto www.tallaghtstadium.ie.
All are welcome, admission is free of charge and there will be parking available for people with valid disabled parking stickers
