South Dublin County Council, in collaboration with Institute of Technology Tallaght and Engineers Ireland presents:Engineers Week
At RUA RED, South Dublin County Arts Centre, Library Square, County Hall.
This is a nationwide event coordinated by Engineers Ireland as part of their STEPS to Engineering Programme.
The aim of the Week is to positively promote engineering as a career and to create an awareness of the wonderful, life-enhancing and exciting challenges that engineers are involved in and responsible for.
It is a week of fun-packed activities and workshops for both primary and secondary cycle students and will be attended by over a thousand students from local schools. They will have an opportunity to talk to professional engineers from South Dublin County Council and academic staff from Institute of Technology Tallaght about what engineers do and what an important part they will play in revitalizing our economy.
It will be opened by Mayor Eamonn Maloney in the presence of the President of Dublin Institute of Technology, Professor Brian Norton at RUA RED on Monday 14th February at 10.00 a.m.
