Check the Draft Register of Electors by 25th November 2010
The Draft Register of Electors 2011/2012 was published on 1st November 2010, and will come into force on 15th February, 2011.
You can check your current registration details on line at www.southdublin.ie www.checktheregister.ie or at your local Council Office, Garda Station, Library or Post Office to ensure that you are registered and that your details are correct.
If you will be 18 years of age or over on 15th February next you are eligible for inclusion on the Register of Electors 2011/2012. If your name is not included on the Draft Register a claim form (RFA1) – available online or where you inspect the register - should be completed and returned to South Dublin County Council by 25th November 2010.
Special Voters and Postal Voters
If you are unable to vote at your polling station for any of the following reasons you may apply to go on the Postal or Special Voters List if:
- you have a physical disability / illness and living at home,
- you have a physical disability / illness and living in a hospital or similar institution,
- your occupation, service or employment, or place of study would prevent you from voting in person,
- you are detained in prison.
Completed forms must be returned by 25th November 2010.
