Awards Ceremony -21st September 2010
Press Release
South Dublin County Council is delighted to announce that the fifth ‘Beautiful South Dublin County’ Competition took place in County Hall, Tallaght on Tuesday 21st September.
This competition is the highlight of the year for the Council and for the many community groups, businesses and residents associations that take part each year. It encourages participants to become more aware of and responsible for their local environment and to develop more sustainable communities. The competition gives South Dublin County Council an opportunity to publicly thank and acknowledge the great effort put in by communities in striving to improve their local areas.

Mayor Maloney commended the high standards of all the entries saying that ‘entrants have special reason to be proud of their achievements in keeping South Dublin County clean and green, especially in these difficult economic times’.
