Press Release: Consultation process for the South Dublin County Arts Plan
South Dublin County Council’s Arts Office is carrying out a consultation process for the County Arts Plan over the next five years and, the arts office is really interested in getting input from the young people in South Dublin County. There are lots of opportunities to participate on- line via the web or discussions being held at RUA RED.
This strategy is a document that outlines the Arts Office's plans for supporting artists, communities, adults and young people to take part in the Arts.
We are inviting young people to participate in a discussion about the needs and interests in specific art forms on the following days at RUA RED, South Dublin Arts Centre in Tallaght:
MUSIC: Wednesday July 28th 1pm - 2.30pm
THEATRE/ DANCE/DRAMA: Wednesday July 28th 3pm - 4:30pm
FILM: Thursday, July 29th 5pm -7pm
Please contact Tori at vdurrer@sdublincoco.ie for further information and to register your interest.
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL FOR THESE EVENTS. You may book directly by calling RUA RED at 01 451 5860.
We also welcome people, ages 13 - 25, to login to http://www.noisesouthdublin.com to let South Dublin County Council's Arts Office know what you think!
Use writing, photographs, drawings, videos, music and more!
Below are some questions to think about:
1. What do you need in order to take part in the arts in South Dublin County?
2. What do you need in order to get a job in the arts?
3. What kinds of arts activities do you take part in?
4. What activities would you like to see more of?
Other discussions are being organised, which you can participate in via the blog at http://southdublinartsconsultation.blogspot.com
