South Dublin County Council congratulates Richard Baneham
At South Dublin County Council’s meeting on Monday 8th March the Council unanimously agreed the following motion “That South Dublin Co. Council congratulates local artist Richard Baneham who to-day at the 82nd, Academy Awards in Los Angeles, received an Oscar, and that this Council initiate arrangements to honour this outstanding achievement.”
The Council will arrange to honour Richard Baneham, the award winning animator on his wonderful achievement in the future. The Mayor Mick Duff said “All of us in South Dublin County are very proud of Richard, who is from Tallaght. He is an inspiration and a role model to young people in the County. This Council will continue to foster creativity and imagination in the County by providing facilities such as RUARED Arts Centre with its multimedia labs, exhibition spaces and art work spaces and the wonderful resource of the Library service. I look forward to meeting him in person and honouring his achievement. We also pass our congratulations and delight to Richard’s proud parents.”
