Notice of the preparation of the Draft County Development Plan 2010-2016

Notice is hereby given, that the Council of the County of South Dublin, being the Planning Authority for the County has, pursuant to Section 12 of the Planning and Development Acts, 2000 ? 2007, prepared a Draft County Development Plan for the period 2010 ? 2016.

The Draft Plan is accompanied by an Environmental Report prepared in accordance with the Planning and Development [Strategic Environmental Assessment] Regulations 2004.

Written submissions or observations regarding the Draft Development Plan and the Environmental Report on the likely effects on the environment of implementing the Draft Development Plan are hereby invited from members of the public and other interested parties during the period Tuesday 22nd September 2009 to 2nd December 2009 (4.00pm).

These will be taken into consideration before the

making of the Development Plan. Written submissions or observations on the Draft Development Plan and the Environmental Report may be made in one of the following ways:

and a contact address, a map (where appropriate) and, where relevant, details of any organisation, community group or company etc, which you represent.

Please make your submission by ONE medium only, ie.

Hard copy, e-mail or web. Closing date for submissions: 4.00pm 2nd December 2009. Late submissions will not be accepted.

The Draft Plan and the Environmental Report will be on display at the following locations from 22nd September 2009 to 2nd December 2009 inclusive, Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays:

? The Concourse, County Hall, Tallaght (Planning staff will be available to deal with Development Plan queries each Wednesday afternoon, 2.00-4.30pm)

?? Civic Offices, Clondalkin (Planning staff will be available to deal with Development Plan queries each Tuesday afternoon 2.00-4.00pm) Copies of the Plan [Written Statement, including Appendices and Environmental Report and Maps in hardcopy or CD] will be available to purchase, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays, at:

? Planning counter, County Hall, Tallaght (During office hours)

? Civic Offices, Clondalkin (During office hours)

The documents may also be inspected at all branches of South Dublin County Council?s libraries. The Written Statement, Environmental Report and

interactive mapping facility will be available to view on the Council?s website, www.southdublin.ie from 22nd September 2009 and the Written Statement and Environmental Report can be downloaded.

Public Information Days There will be several public information days when staff from the Council?s Planning Department will be available to answer questions and to assist in making a submission. The information days will take place during the month of November 2009 on the dates and at the locations listed below:
