South Dublin County Active Citizenship Week-

The Mayor of South Dublin County Cllr. Mick Duff will launch Active Citizenship Week in South Dublin County on Monday 21st September in the presence of the Minister John Curran in County Hall Tallaght at 11am. Active Citizenship concerns everyone and this week was developed to further stimulate the interest of people in the County to become even more involved as active citizens.

South Dublin County Active Citizenship Week will include:

v Images of Volunteering Exhibition

v Blood Bank

v Garda Reserve Recruitment Campaign

v Dublin County Volunteer Centre outreach sessions

v Youth Information Centre

v Reserve Recruitment Campaign

v Give it a swirl Day - the national day of volunteering.

v And also an event which will be held later in the year to celebrate volunteerism in the County

This week was organized by South Dublin County Council, South Dublin County Development Board and the South Dublin County Volunteer Centre.? There were a number of other partners involved including:
