Draft Scheme for the establishment of Strategic Policy Committees

Strategic Policy Committee Draft Scheme

Following the June 2009 Local Elections South Dublin County Council is required to prepare a Draft Strategic Policy Committee Scheme for consultation. The draft scheme has been prepared and can now be viewed on www.sdublincoco.ie where all details pertaining to the scheme including membership, sectoral representation etc. are available. A hard copy of the scheme is available on request.

South Dublin County Council has 6 Strategic Policy Committees as follows:

• Economic Development (including Planning)

• Transportation

• Arts, Culture & Gaeilge, Education and Libraries

• Environment

• Housing and Social Development

• Sport, Recreation, Community Affairs (including Parks)

Submissions on the draft scheme and applications from the Community / Voluntary, Conservation and Cultural sectors at local level may be made to Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Services Section, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 or email marymaguire@sdublincoco.ie before the 21st August 2009. Applications for representation for the National Pillars eg Business, Environmental, Farming and Trade Unions must be forwarded to the national coordinators.
